The perfect way to experience the magnificent taiga forests of Lapland.
Enjoy the sound of silence as you mush a dog-team through the remote trails just north of Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle. We travel 30 – 40 km during this tour.
After or during the tour (weather dependent), we enjoy a campfire lunch. You can choose to drive your sled alone, or share the experience with a partner.

PICK UP TIME AND PLACE
You will be able to choose your pickup location when you make the booking. We only offer pickups from certain collective meeting points within the Rovaniemi area. Pickups begin approximately one hour before the starting time of the tour. Make sure this does not conflict with your schedule.
During pick up driver will look for you by your name in the reception area of the informed hotel.
Please inform us of your mobile phone number, in case we need to contact you on the day of the tour.
RATES
One sled is shared by 2 adults, half way there will be a chance to switch drivers. By choosing the extra “single supplement” you reserve one sled per one person.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 365 days or less before the event.

Driving a team of dogs can be quite physically demanding. It is not just standing on the sled and letting the dogs do all the work. You need to be able to steer the sled by shifting your weight and help the dogs on uphills by pushing the sled. So, driving a dog sled does require a certain level of fitness and a good sense of balance. Furthermore, on the Taiga Husky Tour you will be spending many hours outside bracing the cold, the snow and the wind.
That being said, if you are aware of all of the above and you are still excited to join this tour and willing to embrace all of it, then yes, you can absolutely join the tour even if you have never driven a team of dogs before.
You do not need to bring lunch, as we will provide lunch for you. It is included in the price of the tour. Please remember to inform us of any food restrictions minimum 48 hours prior to the tour.
Yes, indeed, we provide transfers and they are already included in the price of the tour. We do not recommend that you drive to our kennel yourself as our kennel is remote and sometimes challenging to reach especially in winter. We do not offer any price reductions if you were to come with your own car. So we strongly recommend that you make use of our transfers.

Yes, we do offer transfers also from the Arctic SnowHotel, the Vaattunki Wilderness Resort and from the Apukka Resort. However, none of these locations are part of our regular transfer route. For that reason we charge an additional price of 12,- € / person / one way for this.
