Sled Dog Guide
Location: Rovaniemi, Finland
Position: Seasonal position
Working hours: 30–40 hours per week
Starting: The season runs from September 21 to early April, with possible extension depending on snow, weather and demand
At Bearhill Husky, you won’t just make one person’s day — you’ll create unforgettable moments for 150+ guests a day. With 100+ sled dogs, snowmobiles, campfires, and the Arctic wilderness as your stage, this job is part guiding, part performing, and 100% Adventure.
Bearhill Husky is one of the largest and most dynamic husky kennels in Finnish Lapland — and we’re now looking for sled dog guides to join our internal team for the upcoming winter season. It’s an adventure, a performance, a team effort — and we’re looking for the right people to shine in the spotlight.
About the Job:
As a Sled Dog Guide at Bearhill Husky, you’ll be part of a professional and passionate international team delivering unforgettable adventures in the Arctic. Your days will be filled with:
● Guiding guests on husky tours
● Driving sleds, snowmobiles and assisting with logistics and safety operations
● Sharing stories, entertaining, and building connections with people from all around
the world
● Taking care of our incredible dogs and ensuring their well-being
● Working long days, in all weathers, and loving every bit of it
What Kind of People Are We Looking For?
We’re not just hiring guides — we’re looking for born entertainers, natural leaders, and team players who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You should love to talk, laugh, engage, explain, guide, and repeat.
This is the perfect job for people who:
● Are energized by meeting hundreds of new people each week
● Want to work in a large, professional, international kennel
● Enjoy being outside every day, no matter the weather
● Can handle organized chaos with a smile
● Are willing to learn, adapt, and get their hands dirty
To Succeed in This Role, You Must Have:
For this role, you must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English (our working language), with a strong sense of customer service and hospitality. The role also requires a good level of physical fitness, as it includes lifting (up to 20 kg), frequent bending, and repetitive tasks such as handling dogs. You will be active throughout the day and working outdoors in all weather conditions, so good vision and awareness are important for safely managing dogs and guiding outdoors. In addition, you should have:
● A strong sense of customer service and hospitality
● Good physical condition and resilience under pressure
● A positive attitude and team spirit
● The ability to work independently and take initiative
● A valid B driver’s license
Bonus Skills We Love:
● Prior experience in guiding, tourism, or seasonal outdoor jobs

● Be part of a well-established, highly-rated company with years of experience
● Work with a large and supportive international team
● Gain hands-on experience in tourism, dog care, and Arctic operations
● Spend your season in one of the most beautiful parts of Finland
● Create memories, friendships, and stories to last a lifetime
