Sled Dog Guide

Location: Rovaniemi, Finland

Position: Seasonal position

Working hours: 30–40 hours per week

Starting: The season runs from September 21 to early April, with possible extension depending on snow, weather and demand

Bearhill Husky is one of the largest and most dynamic husky kennels in Finnish Lapland — and we’re now looking for sled dog guides to join our internal team for the upcoming winter season. About the Job:

As a Sled Dog Guide at Bearhill Husky, you’ll be part of a professional and passionate international team delivering unforgettable adventures in the Arctic. Your days will be filled with:

● Guiding guests on husky tours
● Driving sleds, snowmobiles and assisting with logistics and safety operations
● Sharing stories, entertaining, and building connections with people from all around
the world

To Succeed in This Role, You Must Have:

For this role, you must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English (our working language), with a strong sense of customer service and hospitality. The role also requires a good level of physical fitness, as it includes lifting (up to 20 kg), frequent bending, and repetitive tasks such as handling dogs. You will be active throughout the day and working outdoors in all weather conditions, so good vision and awareness are important for safely managing dogs and guiding outdoors. In addition, you should have:

● A strong sense of customer service and hospitality
● Good physical condition and resilience under pressure
● A positive attitude and team spirit
● The ability to work independently and take initiative
● A valid B driver’s license

Bonus Skills We Love:

● Prior experience in guiding, tourism, or seasonal outdoor jobs
● Animal handling experience, especially with dogs
● Experience with snowmobiles (or willingness to learn quickly)

Sales assistant

Location: Rovaniemi, Finland

Position: Seasonal position

Working hours: 90–120 hours / 3 weeks

Starting: The position runs from October 1st to 28th of February, with possible extension depending on snow, weather and demand

At Bearhill Husky, you won’t just make one person’s day, you’ll create unforgettable moments for 150+ guests a day, where as a sales assistant your job is to make sure the customers make their way to our services well.

About the Job:

  • Processing and managing bookings for tours
  • Customer service on the phone, via email, and sometimes also face to face
  • Selling the right tour to the right customers 
  • Organizing transfers for customers 
  • Updating availability on our booking platforms
  • We expect you to be open for other tasks in the company

We are looking for

  • Diligent, precise work attitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service
  • Experience with booking systems is of advantage: Travius and Bokun
  • Previous experience in the Rovaniemi tourism industry is of advantage 
  • Good human communication skills
  • Initiative and independent 
  • Flexible work attitude
  • Must have very good English language skills, Finnish language skills preferred

Customer service agent (Santa Claus Village)

Do you enjoy busy, energetic environments, meeting happy people and being surrounded by excited sled dogs? If yes, this could be a great winter job for you.

We are looking for friendly and service-minded customer service agents to join our seasonal team at Santa’s Husky Ride, located in Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi. This is one of Lapland’s most visited attractions, and the pace can get really fast during peak hours — so we need team players who thrive when things get lively.

 

Position: Seasonal position 16.11.2026-31.3.2027

Working hours: 30–40 hours per week

 

About the role:

At this location, guests hop into a sled and enjoy a short but unforgettable husky ride through snowy forest trails. After the tour, they warm up with hot juice and cookies in a traditional Lappish Kota.

As a Customer Service Agent, your role is all about keeping the experience smooth, fun and unforgettable, even when hundreds of guests are passing through in a single day.

Your daily tasks include:

  • Welcoming guests with a smile (lots of them, we’re busy!)
  • Selling tickets, checking bookings, and answering questions
  • Working in the kota – explaining the experience, telling guests about huskies and creating a warm atmosphere
  • Helping outside – directing people to the sleds, assisting with boarding, keeping the flow organized
  • Coordinating with guides and your teammates to keep everything moving

You’ll be the first and last impression of the experience – so bring your best energy!

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Friendly and guest-focused with excellent communication skills
  • A quick thinker with good problem-solving abilities
  • Organized and calm under pressure
  • Happy working both indoors and outdoors in cold conditions
  • A great team player with a positive attitude
  • Proactive and reliable, you take initiative and handle tasks independently

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Previous experience in guiding, tourism, or seasonal outdoor work
  • Knowledge or interest in sled dogs or Lapland tourism
  • Multilingual skills, English is our working language, but other languages are a plus
